- a contractual document issued by an insurer that provides evidence of insurance coverage for goods in transit, specifying the risks covered, the insured value, and the terms under which compensation is payable in the event of loss or damage
Anmärkning
- In international trade, an insurance policy is often required as part of the documentary package under a letter of credit or as evidence of compliance with Incoterms obligations such as CIF or CIP.
