Definition

a legally enforceable agreement between two or more parties that creates mutual obligations, typically formed by offer, acceptance, and consideration, and containing terms that define rights, duties, and remedies

Note

Covers business-to-business and business-to-consumer agreements relevant to trade (e.g., sales, transport, insurance, finance). In KTDDE, contracts are often evidenced by documents (e.g., purchase order, policy, bill of lading) but the contract itself is the legal relationship, not the document.
