  • a numerical code displayed in the upper half of an orange hazard placard that identifies the primary and subsidiary risks of a dangerous substance or article being transported
Note
  • Used in international transport of dangerous goods (ADR, RID, IMDG, ICAO). The lower half of the placard shows the UN Number.
  • Also known as the Kemler Code under ADR.
