Definition

an economic operator that hosts and operates a platform and is responsible for onboarding members through it

Note

In the EBWV membership context, the operator is the organization responsible for the operation and administration of the platform used by members of a data-sharing initiative or data space. Its responsibilities may include maintaining the technical service, managing onboarding procedures and supporting membership administration. Being the operator does not by itself imply ownership of the platform or data space, governance authority over the initiative, ownership of exchanged data, or authority to act on behalf of its members.
