Definition

an agent that holds a recognized membership in an organization, data-sharing initiative, data space or other governed community

Note

A member may be a natural person, organization, legal entity, economic operator or another agent capable of holding membership. In the EBWV context, the member is the agent that is the subject of a membership relationship or membership attestation. Membership may specify the community to which the agent belongs, the platform through which the agent was onboarded and the roles assigned to the agent. Being identified as a member does not by itself specify membership status, access rights, responsibilities or authority to act on behalf of another agent.
