Definition

yritys, jolla on toimilupa liiketoimintanaan tarjota maksupalveluja, mutta joka ei ole luottolaitos
företag som har koncession att tillhandahålla betaltjänster som näringsverksamhet men som inte är kreditinstitut
a business enterprise which has a license to offer services in the payment-transfer sector – such an enterprise is not a credit institution

Maksulaitos voi rahoituslaitoksen tapaan tarjota luottoja tai muuta rahoitusta sikäli kun se on mahdollista ilman luottolaitoksia koskevaa toimilupaa.
Ett betalningsinstitut kan på samma sätt som finansiella institut erbjuda lån eller annan finansiering när det är tillåtet utan koncession.
Subject to the restriction of not having a license to issue loans to the public, payment institutions can offer certain loans and other financing.
